Just a few more 'photo-shopped' images being uploaded, before next weekend's wedding kick starts the 2010 season which far going will be my busiest.
I love the expressions in this small group photo. You just wouldn't get this type of photographic composition with a 'pure' reportage wedding photographer. To be able to look back on these timeless carefully composed shots of friends & family I think is important. Yes, more and more guests are taking pictures at weddings, however in many cases 99% of the time even with digital technology are still just 'snaps' (images taken without thought)
Another beautiful wedding at The Netherwood Hotel at Grange Over Sands, nr The Lake District. A warm action packed wedding full f creative ideas and capturing the moments with splashes of colour & vibrance. These 2 were brilliant in front of camera and I guess I wasnt too bad either :-)
Siobhan & Luke married in Greece a few weeks prior to their reception in October and asked me to cover their celebrations nr Preston, Lancs. This was the first time I had photographed this type of occasion heres a few of my favourites from the day.
I think its pretty clear from the shots I enjoyed being in a room with 3 stunning women, what a hoot it was! Well done to Siobhan, Claire, & Rachel and not forgetting Luke the builder.
Neil & Michelle Redfern got married at The Cragwood Hotel on one of the brightest sunny days this year. Neil Redfern is also a wedding photographer so I had to make sure of some good photography for them both. A year or so ago I left a comment on Neil's blog regarding the SWPP competitions, low and behold he came to see me as he said "I cant photograph my own wedding!" Michelle looked beautiful and her bridesmaids wore yellow with sunflower bouquets. Heres a few from the wedding once I have seen the happy couple I will upload the entire wedding in my clients section. The wedding was a fun day and Neil had some real character guests in the line ups including 'r Liam', Lady Gaga was guest singer. It was a real pleasure to be there, thank you for asking me to cover your lovely wedding. Pushed the 'boat' out for you ship-mate.
1/1600s at 5.6 ISO 200 FP Flash (Ensures background/foreground fill flash balance) Camera set at Manuel One of my favorite 'signing the register' shots of all time-I dont like to sound big headed but this shot is technically perfect, thanks everyone for smiling and having your eyes open!
We went onto the lake for 1 hour & came across many able sea-men.....
Neil & Michelle, your day was a beautiful wedding not only because of the great weather, or the location, or the cross section of guests you had at your wedding, but the planning you clearly put into this event & diversity, not for one minute did I ever feel you where judging me, so thank you for letting me really feel apart of this wedding and capturing the fun & passion. I did relish photographing your wedding everyone there was fun - just wish more weddings were like yours. Martin.
Simon Carruthers & Anne Marie Moss of Lancaster tied the wedding knot - during an intimate wedding in the seculded grounds of Hipping Hall, Cumbria. The Groom was in high spirits allday and kept everyone entertained with his jokes and wit. Anne Marie wore a beautiful dress with lovely decorations & details.
Another sunny wedding day I'm having a great run this year. Amy looked sensational in her wedding dress at The Lowry Theatre in Manchester last week. Well done - everyone had a great day, and all the guests were very colourful and happy.
Another beautiful sunny day's photography this time for Donna & Craig at The Inn on the Lake situated on Lake Ullswater, blessed with the fine weather and a very colourful day in store we got some beautiful images. Quiet possibly one of the best locations for wedding photography in the lakes? You were both great to photograph and although it was a very hot day we managed loads of different types of photography from set-ups to informal. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with me it was a very happy ocassion you were both awesome to photograph.
A very relaxed & intimate wedding at Frodsham, Cheshire, the sun shone all day for Ed & Laurie. It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding you were both very relaxed, all images will be posted online before tomorrow.
A beautiful wedding at one of my old haunts again 2 there in as many weeks, what makes this venue so wonderful is the close distance to the lake. A beautiful day was had by all. The Low Wood Bay is one of the finest hotels in the Lakes with great views across to The Langdale Pikes.
A very hot sunny day in the lakes over the bank holiday put everone in high spirits. Samantha and Richard from Bedford married at The Low Wood Hotel, Windermere and were both great fun to photograph. The day before the wedding I had researched the immediate locale and whisked Richard & Sam around the corner from The Low Wood to a secluded spot on Lake Windermere.
