Storrs Hall in Windermere, Lake District has 1 of the best views and access points right up to the shores of Lake Windermere. The gardens are very beautiful with many Rhododendron bushes and pathways.
Just a wedding party of 3 including me - back in 2007/8 A lovely day, good memories! The ceremony took place at Ulverston Town Hall. I was the witness but wasn't allowed to take images through the service?! (Huh another example of Registrars in Cumbria power mad) then we drove 25 minutes to Storrs Hall.
One of my 1st weddings at The Netherwood Hotel at Grange over Sands covering Lee & Lucy's lovely wedding with lots of action and plenty of creative images. Here's a few of my favourities from the day. Some are album page designs also.
A very wet, windy day in Blackpool starting of at St.Cuthberts RC Church, and then The Imperial on the promenade. Using a Canon 5d for my first wedding I was keen to put it to the test primarily without flash around 1000asa+. It has provided me with another option at wedding to extend my 'editiorial style' of photography without flashing everyone in a dark interior on a winters days. Using an F4 lens is not the fastest lens but versatile.
The Merewood Hotel is in The Lake District obviously the light levels were lower being a December Wedding, so we had to work a bit faster. (Jane) or Boo her nic-name looked beautiful in her HollyWood Dreams wedding dress.
A fresh November day for a Lancaster's Ashton Memorial wedding. Photographing a lovely couple in V cold conditions outside. Mike & Rebecca were both great to work with within a short amount of time due to fading light, we got some great images.
Samlesbury Hall is steeped in history and is an enhancted building full of photographic opportunities to be creative at a wedding. Heres a link to their site
The interiors of Samlesbury Hall have a beautiful glow.
Bohemian Rhapsody Richard, Best Man and Ushers look to the heavens for last minute prayers. Wins an International merit award SWPP in monochrome section only 20 awards this month/ 600 entries For this image I had pre-arranged the men to bring sunglasses, I stood on a small wall in front of them with a Fuji S2+10mm fishy lens on and bascially asked them to look up, the fact I was able to get all the church in behind them was a bonus. Then shading, lighting and good old melchanotron filter again, best £15 I ever spent. The reflections in the glasses was just a case of asking them to move their heads for me.
A very happy Wedding at The Inn on the Lake on Lake Ullswater. It was fun all day long we all had an amazing day the weather was sweltering hot by Ullswater Lake, not a cloud to be seen. This wedding was photographed by 2 photographers.
A nice round trip of 300 miles on the M6 and lovely A686 road, taking in the beautiful Eden valley and the specatular castle, built in 1350 one of a few medieval castle hotels in England. A day of rain on friday 13th but everyone had a great day out one of the last shots of the day 8pm before we left back for Lancaster. Kate and Ian make a lovely couple and made my job very easy, so thank you for a fab wedding.
My 1st wedding at Holbeck Ghyll, South Lakeland is positioned up on a knoll on the right hand side of Windermere tucked away like so many of these wonderful wedding venues with spectucular views, ableit slightly far away from the lake but with sweeping vistas.
