Another trip to The Gibbon Bridge Hotel for Paul & Caroline's beautiful Wedding. It was my 1st time upstairs at The Gibbon Bridge since the Bridal Suite refit and what a difference - i thought I was at a different venue. Big Mirrors, fluffy carpets, red sofa's very luxurious!
A beautiful Wedding at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in the Forest of Bowland just outside of Preston. This time on a Thursday & we were all 23 of us blessed with very sunny weather - at last summer has arrived! Have a great honeymoon in Toronto, hope the weather stays fine for you. xx
A rainy day at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel meant my first wedding in The Orangery. Everyone was bright & colourful and it was a lovely occassion despite the weather.
A very colourful Hindu wedding took place at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel. My first and also the hotels first so we weren't too sure how the days proceedings would go. Alais, it was an extravaganza of events.
This venue is fantastic and surpasses many even in the Lake District because of the space, variation in colours and access inside the gardens.
Tina and Phil both were naturals in front of the camera and this 11 hour wedding for me represents my longest wedding it will also go down also as 1 of my best.
An example of a Hindu Summer Wedding at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Summer. Photographed & designed by Martin Crombie. This was the hotel 1st Hindu wedding staged here and was also mine it was very exciting. We photographed this wedding for a total of 11 hours.
My 3rd wedding of the year at 1 of my favourite venues - The Gibbon Bridge nr.Preston. If you love strong bold colours, outdoor landscaped space this is a great wedding venue to hold your big day celebrations. There is so much to see within the gardens and variation.
Andrew & Isobel were both in high spirits throughout the day. Everyone had a fabulous time the rain was off & on which meant we didnt do the groups until dusk but that added to the fun. Chocolate fountains, singers, and some incredible flowers provided by the florist Jane at Lytham.
Libby & Chris were a perfect bride & groom for my style of photography. Libby; classy, beautiful and knew instinctively how to position herself in front of camera. She has a unique timeless quality about her 'look' on the day reminding me of Jane Ayre. Chris a cool laidback guy with a relaxed attitude in front of camera they both let me get on with what I do best - being creative.
This particular room at The Gibbon Bridge has to provide the best light of any room I have ever photographed a bride in - an amazing quality. Through a small skylight but aided with the help of Gold bed rails, red walls and high contrast light you have a winning combination.
Nicola & Jonathon brought a lot to the table for me to photograph on their very sunny wedding day starting from Garstang Golf Club where Nicola got ready. Jonathon waited for Nicola to arrive at Scorton Church in a new Silver Bentley. A light pink themed wedding perfect for a summers day, the guests later relaxed at The amazing Gibbon Bridge hotel for the reception. Nicola & Jonathon were both fanastic to photograph and looked amazing together, more images will be uploaded in due course. They have honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico/ Carribean.
Here are some black & white snapshots using Doug Boutwells filters plus a few tweaks why is nothing ever right out of the box!I'm not just about posing couples folks I just dont really see photojournalism as important as the photographer's ideas.
The Gibbon Bridge Hotel, Lancashire in summer is a wonderful wedding venue . I love photographing weddings here this one was Adele & Roy's. Especially summer weddings the garden there is in all its glory, greens, purples and the outside balcony is perfect for a summer outside affair.
