A few months ago I photographed Christine & Neils Midland hotel Morecambe wedding it was celebrated with their friends and family in the sunshine by the beach at Morecambe’s finest Midland hotel. From Lincolnshire were the majority of friends and family but the travel was worth it. The Midland Hotel in Morecambe is getting better and better each year, the service, food and experiences there keep getting better and better. After the civil ceremony fish & chips were served up in mini pockets for everyone to enjoy washed down with champagne. After the ceremony, we all headed on to the beach my assistant that day Josh took some cracking natural shots of the guests very naturally with the 70-200 zoom lens which remind me in some ways of Martin Parr’s work .
Christine & Neil were happy to be posed around the points of interested both inside and outside of the venue, we covered pretty much photographed the bride & groom everywhere that day outside the toilets, around the corner at the gardens, walking on the pier, in the large deck chairs.
Check the last image which has been just been nominated for SWPP Photographer of the year (POTY 2016) in Wedding avant garde category.
Incidentally one of the images taken at this wedding featuring The Midland Hotel has been selected by The Society of Wedding Photographers (SWPP) for Photographer of the Year (POTY 2016) in the Avant Garde Wedding category.
