Hello and Welcome to Martin Crombie Wedding Photography! My photographic approach is to photograph your Wedding day as it unfolds naturally or commonly known as Reportage Wedding Photography and set up some Creative Award Winning poses whereever I maybe at your Wedding.
My images are both vibrant, fun and a good balance from your big day.
I tend to use Photoshop in many of my images as I like strong colour images and often use Photoshop to further enhance my images i.e Vintage Wedding feel. Many of the Weddings I cover are in the North West of England typically The Lake District, Lancaster, Morecambe, Preston, Manchester and Cheshire. I am happy to discuss covering weddings further afield. My Wedding Photography Packages for Destinations Weddings/ abroad inc. Ireland start from £2300 due to time spend travelling.
Please enjoy scrolling through my BLOG below & galleries of photographs.
My first Wedding in Stafforshire at the majestic Ingestre Hall, Stafford not a typical venue for me as this building is much larger than much I tend to come across in the North West.
Martin & Rose tied the knot at St Stephen’s church, Great Haywood at 2pm then we travelled a short distance over to Ingestre Hall which celebrates its 400 year. The day started off very wet but by the time we arrived at the reception the sun had come out. Martin had opted for Ingestre Hall as its very close to where he lives and also allows outside catering, i tasted all 3 courses and can say it makes the difference! Very fresh and tasty.
The 2 shots below, on the left was lit with off camera flash at 100asa, using a fisheye lens. The shot below on the right was lit using just available light at 800asa. I think the off camera flash shows the ceiling better, whereas the available daylight the staircase.
An example from the outside, the last shot of the day.
Neil & Sarah tied the knot on Sunday 5th May at the picturesque Monk Coniston at the foot of Lake Coniston (a short drive from Ambleside ) 3 years I photographed Sarah as a bridesmaid at The Langdale Chase Lake District she looked amazing then and stunned everyone with her natural beauty as a bride. We had every form of weather known to man on this wedding - fog, rain, high winds, sunshine and very boggy grass but these guys were real troopers and just got the job done. There are many facets to Monk Coniston just across the road you have rolling fields, long pathways and copses perfect for walks and such like. Monk Consiton has just opened as a Wedding Venue, it feels very natural and has a charm about the place especially the grounds are excellent with lots to see, including a stunning view down the entire Coniston Lake. I wish Neil & Sarah a happy married life together in Cheshire.

We have been very fortunate recently having photographed so many beautiful weddings at The Midland Hotel in Morecambe photographing so many lovely couples, it really has been a brilliant start to the year for Martin Crombie Photography. Thank you for booking our services Marc & Laura. Here's a few of my favs from your wedding day.
Emma & James tied the knot at GreatHall of Mains Wedding venue nr. Blackpool. The week had been very cold with winds to match, however halfway through their lovely Mad Hatter's themed Wedding the sun shone and it felt as though summer had well and truley arrived. It was my first time there so I arrived early and hatched a plan of action. I loved the trees shaped on the well manicured lawns and felt the striped back brick walls were very authentic.
Emma had hired Flutterby Couture Wedding & Events Stationery to do her stationery and did a wonderful job as were the flowers not sure who did them? it was such a happy day we kept it very informal and fun -- no group pictures :-). The bride looked stunning in her dress and was a pleasure to photograph for the 6 hours I attended this madhatters teaparty wedding. There are so many many fabulous moments captured to enjoy looking at, a very happy couple makes my job so easy sometimes.
Katie & Daniel married at Samlesbury Hall, nr Preston for their Wedding on March 30th 2013. A beautiful olde period building dating back to the 13th century. Katie got ready from Ribby hall, nr Blackpool travelling in style arriving in a beautiful Rolls Royce.
The Midland Hotel in my home town of Morecambe. It never amazes me how many different type of wedding images this venue keeps on generating and how beautiful brides like Bunty are drawn too for its nostalga and uniqueness. Chris looked very dapper in his period suit and obviously Bunty blew us all away with her stunning vintage 1920's looks, hopefully we did her justice in the images. This is a perfect Wedding Venue to host your retro themed Wedding and relive yesteryear in total style.
